Prayer Petition for: Physical health
My longtime partner of 30 years, 'Chief' was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney cancer last year and was lucky enough to have both kidney and tumor removed and to date, didn't have to undergo the ordeal of chemo or radiation therapies, but ever so often has to undergo routine CAT scans every few months or so. His last one turned out clean and now he's due for another round this coming Thursday AM sometime. I'm asking the likes of St Peregrino, St Veronica and others to pray things will be clean this time around too. I know these are routine checks, but sometimes even such tests leave me on edge.
We're also going to look into increasing his VA disability rating from 60% coverage to 80% or better through his doctors and if I might be eligible to receive some kind of allowance as his primary caregiver. Even though he's able to get around some and drive, he's been grateful to have me being there for him last year during his recovery. Even though we don't live together, we do travel together as a couple and have had to live under our own respectable roofs due to uncontrollable circumstances, such as this. This is been quite a challenge and rewarding for me because I'm disabled, living with a high-functional form of autism called Asperger's syndrome. I do collect Social Security and Medicare through my late father's record, which I call 'bread from Heaven', without which I don't see how I can live on my own. Even though my boyfriend's not Catholic, he does enjoy going to Mass and receiving communion with me when we go. We befriended a great priest who like 'Chief' is an army retiree and was able to anoint 'Chief' before he underwent surgery last year. This is a great comfort to us knowing of God's infinite, ineffable and unconditional love for us all!
